Ian was called to the bar in 2009 after graduating from the University of British Columbia Law School.

Ian is well-practiced in estate litigation, employment law, personal injury, insurance law, commercial litigation, and general litigation. He has appeared before the Provincial Court, BC Supreme Court, British Columbia Court of Appeal, and other forums including, WCAT, the Employment Standards Branch and the Civil Resolution Tribunal.

Ian strongly believes that more times than not, settling out of Court is in the best interest of all parties involved. Negotiations provide the parties with the opportunity to design an agreement which reflects the client’s interests.

Prior to providing services for ALG Lawyers, Ian contracted his legal services to a major law firm, and prior to this was a partner at a major law firm in BC.

Ian is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Trial Lawyers of British Columbia.

Ian was a former high-level athlete in multiple sports and is an active member of his community. Ian has coached several levels of sports including minor soccer, basketball, and baseball.

When not practicing law, Ian enjoys spending time with his family and when he’s not doing that, he enjoys keeping fit at the gym.
